POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Board of Directors, and under their guidance, the Bar Manager functions as the senior manager for all bar operations. The Bar Manager will maintain a high level of service and quality in the Clubroom for all patrons.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred
Completion of the Manitoba Liquor Commission Its Good Business Management Certification Program preferred
Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity to changing situations and needs
Demonstrated ability to support and motivate others
Ability to foster and maintain positive and harmonious relations with those contacted in the course of work
Ability to relate to people in a friendly, courteous manner
Ability to organize and adjust to variable workloads or interruptions as required
Ability to work independently
Experience in record-keeping and inventory management
Ability to communicate with suppliers
Proven problem-solving skills
Knowledge of marketing and promotion
Exemplary communication skills
Criminal record check may be requested
DUTIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: staff management and training; inventory management; facility management; record keeping and cash handling; customer service, and marketing and promotion.
